A Guide on Maintaining Your Equipment.

Welcome! We're Glad You're Here.

Below are quick maintenance tips for your AC.

1

1

Change your filter Regularly

One of the simplest and most effective ways of keeping your air conditioner working properly at all times is to keep the filters on it clean. Depending on the specific air conditioner that you have and the amount that you use it, the frequency with which you will need to replace your filters can vary greatly. However, it is generally recommended that you replace your air filter at least once every few months.

Tired of changing it monthly? Purchase one of our RE-USABLE, WASHABLE A/C Filters on our Air Filtration page, and never change your filter again.

2

Keep it Clean

Over time, it is easy for leaves, grass clipping, and other debris to build up on the outside of the air conditioning unit. This may not seem like a big deal, but the truth is that it can lead to further maintenance issues over time. For this reason, it is a good idea to clean off the AC unit every so often when you begin to notice this buildup. This can be done by wiping it down or even using a hose to spray the debris off.

3

Keep it Cool

It may seem ironic to think about cooling your AC unit down, but the truth is that doing so can increase its efficiency and allow it to last longer without needing repairs as well. After all, your air conditioner unit has to work quite hard to keep your space cool during the hot months of summer; at the same time, keeping the unit itself in the shade can be a great way to reduce its workload and to prevent it from overheating as well.

4

Keep it Covered

Aside from keeping it in the shade during hotter months, it is also a good idea to keep the air conditioning unit completely covered during the months while it is not in use. This includes the months of fall, winter, and parts of spring. You can purchase a simple tarp or other type of thick cover to keep it protected from the elements during the coldest months of the year.

Overall, there are a number of steps you can take to ensure that your air conditioning unit will last you for many years to come and to avoid air conditioning repair. Be sure to keep these in mind and give them a try.
